Mount Wood Ella Villa

Mount Wood Star Villa provided an really good stay for us. The room had amazing views and was impeccablynice and neat. The breakfast, prepared exactly as we requested, was homemade and delicious. The owners, Chandana and his family, were the best hosts we could have asked for. They were really good too make us feel at home and even offered to drive us to nearby attractions in their tuk tuk. Despite being located a bit outside the village, a quick tuk tuk ride brought us to the center in no time. We also appreciated the peaceful atmosphere and the chance to relax while enjoying the magnificent view. The only minor drawbacks were the occasional traffic noise from the main road and the water flooding in the bathroom. these issues were easily manageable and did not detract from the overall wonderful experience. I would highly recommend staying at Mount Wood Star Villa for a nice and enjoyable stay in Ella.

I had an amazing stay at this guesthouse. The view from my room was amazing, with a lush green valley and even monkeys playing in the trees. The room itself had a rustic wood theme, which added to the charm. The owners were kind and made me feel right at home. They even arranged transportation for me, making my stay hassle-free. The breakfast provided was delicious and the entire hotel was clean and well-maintained.

I had the most magical experience at this hidden gem called Mount Wood Star in Ella. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted by a wonderful and welcoming family who made me feel right at home. The view from my room was absolutely breathtaking, with lush green valleys stretching out as far as the eye could see. The room itself was impeccably clean and comfortable, providing the perfect sanctuary after a long day of exploring. One morning, I mentioned to the owner that I wasn't a fan of toast for breakfast, and to my surprise, he prepared a delicious Sri Lankan breakfast just for me. He even packed a breakfast for me to take on my early morning hike, which was incredibly thoughtful. The owner's mother was also a delight, always ready to lend a helping hand and provide assistance whenever needed. And speaking of assistance, I was grateful for the owner's flexibility with my late check-out, allowing me to freshen up after a morning hike, enjoy a leisurely breakfast. The personal touch and care that this family showed throughout my stay was truly heartwarming. It's difficult to put into words the magic that I experienced at Mount Wood Star, but I can only say that it is a place of art and beauty that will forever hold a special place in my heart. Thank you for making my stay in Ella unforgettable. I promise, I will be back one day. I highly recommend this hotel for an enchanting and memorable stay.

This homestay was absolutely mind-blowing! The views from the balcony and bedroom window were jaw-dropping, overlooking a lush valley. The room was spotless and had all the amenities I needed, including an electric kettle. The staff were incredibly helpful, always ready with a Tuk Tuk to take me up to town. The hospitality of the owners was top-notch, they even helped me find a cheap shared taxi to my next destination. The breakfast they served was homemade and absolutely delicious. I loved the quirky wooden construction and painted murals of the building, it added so much character. my stay at this homestay was a super fun and natural experience, with a friendly and relaxed atmosphere. The wi-fi was good, the bed was comfortable, and the off-site car park was convenient. I highly recommend this place to anyone visiting the area, as it was a fantastic choice for my trip.

We had an incredible stay at Mount Wood Star Villa in Ella. We stayed for 2 nights and enjoyed the warm and inviting wooden design of the hotel. The balcony offered a breathtaking view of the valley, perfect for relaxation. The sound of rivers flowing nearby added to the serene atmosphere. The owner and his family were amazing hosts, picking us up and dropping us off at various locations. The simple yet delicious breakfast they prepared was the best we had during our entire trip in Sri Lanka. We highly recommend this hotel.

We had a wonderful stay at Mount Wood Star Villa. the wooden hotel has a beautiful hillside view and the rooms are comfortable, with a big window to enjoy the scenery from the bed. the balcony is well-equipped with a chair and provides a peaceful spot to relax. the host and their family were incredibly friendly and helpful, even offering us a scooter rental. We also discovered a tasty curry buffet at a neighboring kiosk, although it was quite spicy!
